Some days demand dessert.
Yesterday was one of those days.
Not that it wasn’t a good day… it truly was. Maybe that’s why we needed something sweet to top it off.
No matter the reason, a fruit pie of some sort sounded great. Alas, no fresh peaches or blueberries on hand. I did find a can of apple pie filling in the pantry, though, and that seemed good enough. What’s more American than an apple pie, right? This is close enough – maybe even better!
So, just in case you’ve had one of those days that screams for a sweet ending, here is my recipe for Apple Cobbler Crunch.
Ingredients
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 T butter
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients except for pie filling.
- Spray small casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spread pie filling on bottom of dish.
- Top evenly with dry mixture.
- Bake for about 50 minutes, until top is golden brown.
- Enjoy with a scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream!
- Serves 4-5.
- Recipe may be doubled.

This looks SO YUMMY! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for your comment on my Bible journaling post. Have a great week!
Oh, Bethany… I am so completely taken with the Bible journaling concept! I had a friend share hers with me last Sunday (she sought me out) and invite me to her journaling group that meets each week. Found my Bible yesterday, so I’m good to go!!
I did pin it. I want to try this very soon. I am having a link up on my blog too if you would like to post this there. I know a lot of my readers would enjoy this treat. Have a great day.
My mouth is watering. I really want a bite so I guess I better get to the kitchen and try out your recipe. Thanks for sharing. Pinning. Best wishes, Darlene
