Hello, hello! How are you today??
This comes to you hoping you’re ‘bright-eyed and bushy-tailed’, as they say here… and ready for a brand new day!
Today, I’m sharing an elegant glamour bath that I designed for a client. It was such fun to see this space evolve. We turned her dated hall bathroom into quite a fab space! Enjoy!
This is where we started:
Her hall bathroom is also her guest bath, so we wanted to make it a show-stopper!
The wallpaper was removed, and the faux marble taken down and replaced with sheet rock. The contractor took out the soffit over the shower in order to open the space up all the way to the ceiling. The new shower is tile. And we selected this great chandy that just makes the whole room sparkle!
Before, the mirror had been hung too high because of the poured marble on the walls…
We took care of that! The new mirror accents the space so much better… it is a vertical mirror rather than horizontal, as before. With the addition of the sconces, which are very elegant, you still have light directed where you need it: onto you! They are mirrored in the back to capitalize on the light coming from the one candelabra bulb!
For the vanity I selected a mirrored chest and had it retrofitted for plumbing. The granite top is set atop the wood of the chest, with an undermount sink. Because her space was small, the chest couldn’t be very deep. So, in order to hold the sink, we offset the faucet to the left side… and it totally works!
For the shower curtain, we chose a custom treatment. Gauzy sheers hang inside the single panel and pleated valance, made of an elegant trellis patterned linen.
Here’s a before and after:
This client now has an updated bath that is both functional and elegant!
So happy you invited me into your home today!
Have a great day!!
