I am such a lucky grandma. I get to keep those precious munchkins sometimes. Sometimes we do fun things, and sometimes we do things that we must.
Our oldest grandboy, who is now three, got the flu when he was just a babe. And now his mommy and daddy have a new baby boy who is too young to get a flu shot, so everyone else in the family has to get one, to help protect the little babe.
Including the three-year-old and the grandma.
So yesterday, after keeping the boys, we met the daddy at the pediatrician’s office to get flu shots (mommy was working). Turns out they will give them to parents and grandparents there too!
We gathered up all our courage and rolled up our sleeves, Ethan and I did. Well, he rolled up his little pants leg. And the nurse gave us those shots. I got a bandaid with owls on it, and his was bubble guppies.
Tonight when I saw him we compared our battle wounds. I pulled up my sleeve and he said, ‘Where are the owls??’. Pretty astute for a three-year-old. You see, I had removed my bandaid, but he wanted to keep his on and wear it to ‘school’ today. His school had costume day today, and he went as superman. Very fitting, I say.
He is pretty super – he and his bubble guppies bandaid.
There are affilliate links in this post. As always, I only recommend products that I use myself and that I LOVE!
Today I wore my new tunic top from my favorite online store, Glamour Farms Boutique! They sent me this awesome burgundy top called the Elsie Lace Tunic.
Now, if you can look past the (un)model, you will see what a great top it truly is! Made of ribbed knit, it has lace insets in the 3/4 length sleeves… and it is soooooo comfortable, as well as beautiful.
Yeah. I know. Cindy Crawford, I’m NOT!
Here’s a super-close-up of the sleeve:
I had fun styling my new top with my own black and white chevron scarf, my textured hoop earrings, as well as my own leggings and suede boots. Here’s a link to the scarf and boots, if you want the same look:
These are the awesome boots that got me around Europe on our trip last year! They are FABULOUS. They are totally waterproof, and so comfortable, that even after a long day of touring castles and visiting little towns all over Bavaria, my feet didn’t hurt a bit!
