A day of fun looking for the perfect oil painting…
Today, I had the privilege of meeting clients at my former workplace, Bragg Furniture in Huntsville, AL! My clients are looking for the perfect piece of artwork for their home. Every few months or so, the wonderful oil painting guru, Paul Robinson, brings his truck full of original art work over from Atlanta and sets up his sidewalk art show in front of the store! It’s so much fun to drool over all the gorgeous paintings.
He always brings a great selection of paintings in many different sizes and subject matter; from modern to traditional… all originals done by professional artists!
Today, we are looking for a large, vertically framed piece for over the fireplace in the clients’ living room. Their decor is relaxed traditional, and their paint color is Providence Olive by Benjamin Moore. Take a look at some of what we saw today:

And, below is the one we chose! The colors are perfect, the subject matter both pleasing and interesting. You can almost imagine yourself within this scene; either kayaking down the stream, taking a walk on the path alongside, or perhaps hiking the mountain in the distance! It definitely looks like someplace I would love to go!!
But we wanted to change out the frame, which Paul was happy to do for us!

Look how the darker frame actually does a better job of bringing out the colors in the painting. I can’t wait to see it over their fireplace!
