A few days ago, I invited you into our home for the infamous blog ‘home tour’! We started in the Family Room, where we spend most of our time. Today we’re going to visit the guest room. The paint color in this room is Palm Springs Tan by Glidden.
This is the view from the doorway into our guest room:
The queen bed was in the master bedroom in our previous house, but when we moved into our current home, we ‘upgraded’ to a king bed! We love our new bed, and it is great that we had this one to move to the new guest room. I love the vignette on the bedside table! The focal point is an antique book and pair of reading glasses. The lamp is also sitting atop a large antique book.
A couple of old leather suitcases sit nesting on the floor beside the table. The top one is open and a small plant is set inside.
On the adjoining wall, we have a small antique dresser with mirror above. The vignette on the dresser top features an orchid and some accessories in Tiffany blue, of course!
The bed pillow arrangement is ideal for a queen bed. They are layered as follows, back to front: 2 Euros in a small patterned fabric, 2 standard in plaid, 1 square accent, and 1 ‘bow’ accent. The fabrics work together very well!
I played around with a couple of pieces of art for above the bed. First, I tried this:
And then this one, which is what I liked the best. The art on the wall in this photo is a framed European print, of a scene on the canals in Venice… and it’s frame works nicely with the two vertical mirrors, don’t you think?
Well, there you have the 2nd room of our home tour! Hope you’ll visit again soon!! Blessings to you!
