{Sondra Lyn at} Home Tour – Sitting Room

When we bought our new home, this room was set up as a study. But I had my heart set on a sitting room… a separate space where I could sit with any ‘droppers-by’ or just have a nice room that required little upkeep and would usually look nice!

I also had in mind perhaps an armoire for a 2nd TV, so that if myself or anyone wanted to watch something else other than what was on the big family TV, they had an option!

Not usually one for loud prints, I couldn’t help falling in love with this one while I was working as a designer at the furniture store! It is a gorgeous pheasant print, quintessentially southern in my opinion, and I HAD to have it! It had all my colors on a background of my most favorite of all – turquoise.

So this became my inspiration print ,and I pulled colors out of it for the sofa, rug, throw pillows and window treatments. Actually, the window treatments were already there (it was a model home), but they worked perfectly with the print!
