It's the most wonderful time of the year! And I've got the most wonderful table to share, especially if blue and white is your jam, like it is mine. I'm all about thinking outside the box and I love the idea of creating a blue and white Christmas table. It even coordinates with the blue and white themed tree in our foyer! Who Will You Remember? Memorial Day 2014
‘Will you marry me?’ he said to her a long time ago.

‘Yes!’ was the reply.
So the wedding date was set: October 22, 1952.

The next month, November of 1952, he left for Japan to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Gone over a year, the new bride wondered
if she would recognize him when he returned…
Happily, she did!
They were married for over 60 years.

Happy Memorial Day and Heartfelt Thanks
to the men and women who gave so much to earn our freedom!
Who will you remember this Memorial Day?

Sondra what a beautiful story and pictures! There are so many to be remembered! Daddy was in the Army, Darwin was in the Navy and Robert’s Dad was in the Army. Robert’s brother was in the Army and I have a friend whose son just completed Boot Camp for the Marines and graduates May 30.
Love that story and especially the photos. I posted about my father, a true war hero who also served in Korea and three tours in VietNam. Thanks for taking the time to remember the real reason for this holiday.
And a HUGE thank-you to your Dad! My husband, the man in the sailor uniform, served aboard a sub during the VietNam War. We met when he returned to college afterwards! God bless this great nation of ours!!
