I hope you are having a fantabulous week! We’ve been a little topsy-turvy around here, with some family members having the flu (it’s legit… the real H1N1). So I have had our grandson 24/7 for the past couple of days. Mainly for his protection, but to let his momma get better, too.
When doing the mantel for winter, I really wanted to keep using the cool window I found for our Christmas mantel. So I settled on a winter white mantel vignette!
And I wanted to do a {mostly} all-white display, centered around a white pitcher that belonged to my mother. To me, the lines of this pitcher are perfect… proportionally very pleasing! But I like it of course, for it’s sentimental value.
Also, I’ve incorporated the {free} printable I designed a few days ago… ‘Hurry Spring’! I’m one of those who fights the winter ‘doldrums’ and I always feel so much better when the days get longer and the birds start to sing!!

Once again, I used a large initial… I love fonts and typefaces, so I always welcome the chance to include a letter somewhere! And don’t you love the two iron pieces on either side of the window? I made sure to offset them, and I love the ‘snowflake’ feel they give!
I hope you like our winter mantel! What pieces have you used in vignettes that hold special meaning for you?
